A solid educational background not only broadens a student’s career options but also has the potential to lift the whole family’s socioeconomic standing.

AAPI-CO members have always treated education with high importance and have the privilege of obtaining tutoring and counseling for their children to which many inner-city students lack access. AAPI-CO has begun its own charitable program to provide SAT/ACT tutoring and college counseling for students in Columbus inner-city schools.

Our goal is for every student who participates in this program, to pursue higher education upon graduation from high school. The pilot program has enrolled two students, currently tutored on a weekly basis. The program will provide test prep books, an independent tutor, and a college counselor at no cost to the students and families.

The estimated cost to support one additional student throughout the duration of the program is $7,500. After a one-year pilot, we anticipate expanding the program to more students.
